Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are Great Together in Film!

Simon Pegg Nick Frost

So i thought i would make a blog entry today with my thoughts on the actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and the fact that i think they are really good, funny actors and are great together in the films they have made.  In this post i will go through the different films i like them in and what it is i think is good about them, individually as well as together.

My First Film

The very first time i ever seen Simon Pegg (as Shaun) and Nick Frost (as Ed) acting together was in the film “Shaun Of The Dead” that came out in 2004.  At the time, and still to this day i love this film, i have watched it many, many times. It also stars Kate Ashfield (as Liz), Lucy Davis (as Dianne), Bill Nighy (as Philip), Penelope Wilton (as Barbara), Dylan Moran (as David) and many others as they fight for their lives in zombie apocalypse.

My Best Film

The best film in my opinion that both Simon Pegg and Nick Frost starred in together is without a doubt “Paul“.  This film was released in 2011.  I think they are the most funny together in this film and i was laughing fall the way through it. This film also has Kristen Wiig and Jason Bateman who are also great actors and the 4 of them are awesome in this film. The story is about Graeme (Simon Pegg) and Clive (Nick Frost) as they are traveling through America at a science convention when they meet Ruth (Kristen Wigg) and an Alien from another planet (voiced by Seth Rogen).

Films Together

These are all the films that i like with both the actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in them.

  • Shaun Of The Dead (2004)
  • Hot Fuzz (2007)
  • Paul (2011)
  • The World’s End (2013)

All of the above films i have watch several times, and never ever get bored with them. As i mentioned earlier in this post, Paul is my favourite film starring these 2 actors, but as far as the other 3 go, my next best has got to be Shaun Of The Dead as it is a Classic! .. after this comes Hot Fuzz and then The World’s End.

I Hope They Do More!

I really hope there are more films to come from this pair as all the movies they make together seem to be a hit each time and every time in my opinion. I am not sure what the next film / script could be with the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, so i will just sit impatiently with my fingers crossed hoping one is made and my legs crossed hoping i will like it!

  1. I saw the alien one also. It was amazing how they made the alien so human – as in someone you could joke around with. They also did this back in the 1980s with ALF – the lead of one of my favorite shows. Anyway, I wonder how puppet animation compares to computer digital stuff.
